Boys Winter Program Overview

While Beantown’s boys winter program normally runs from early October through March, with the many uncertainties brought on by COVID-19, especially related to the lack of facilities, we plan to start participating in tournaments in January.

We pride ourselves in employing experienced coaches who have the technical volleyball expertise, passion for the game, and teaching proficiency necessary to improve and expand player skills and build quality cohesive teams.

This program is designed for players up to age 18.  Players receive sophisticated coaching with an ongoing focus on fundamental skills and, building on this foundation, with an increasing emphasis on mastering position skills and team play. Innovative drills solidify player skills, build team effectiveness, and teach winning strategies. And, we will do so with the health and safety of all involved as our top priority.

Beantown’s Junior Olympic Club Volleyball is a fantastic way to play and improve your skills. We will be adjusting our tournament schedule this year based on new league rules and state mandates related to COVID-19 and will provide more details as that information becomes available to us. Age groups are defined by your birth date, please consult the information below to identify which age group you will be trying out with:

Boys Winter Tryouts

Thank you to everyone who tried out. Stay tuned for team assignments and practice dates.

We take the health and safety of our players and coaches very seriously, for that reason masks are mandatory for all coaches. Temperature checks will be taken before entering the facility. And, while players are not mandated to wear masks while playing, they are encouraged to wear them.

Additional Try-outs and Call Backs - TBA (will occur at Fore Kicks in Norfolk, MA)

BEANTOWN VBC follows our own Strict COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines as well as those mandated by Fore Kicks and the State of MA. Please see our COVID-19 Guidelines page.

Tuition will be collected AT A LATER DATE when more is known in terms of opportunities and training sites. Our goal is to develop teams at this time to better prepare for the season when information and opportunities become available. (If opportunities are similar to last year, tuition will be $1200,00 for Local and $2200.00 for TRAVEL.)

We are hoping to train again at Natick HS and Newton South HS if/when those facilities become available to us.

We are hoping to train on Wednesdays and Sundays and begin tournament play in January. Travel events and multi-day tournaments are still not definitive.
